Project Summary
Affirming their leadership in oncology care for the Rocky Mountain region, the founding physicians of U.S. Oncology chose to locate a premier outpatient cancer care center in the heart of Denver.
The development required forming an ownership partnership with the physicians, raising equity, negotiating the land purchase and lease from the hospital, arranging financing, and finalizing tenant leases.
Constructed near Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in a primarily residential neighborhood, the three-story, 42,700 SF structure incorporates exterior screen wall elements and extensive landscaping to soften the building’s aesthetic impact on the community. A covered drop-off and adjacent parking enhance patient convenience while the red “Denver brick” veneer complements the traditional architecture of the area.
“The RMCC may not have been possible without your participation. Your creative ownership proposal enabled us to continue the development of Denver's first comprehensive outpatient cancer treatment center. Your competent design/build approach to development allowed the project to stay on track, well ahead of competing hospital projects."
