The Westshore District is the largest commercial market in the Tampa Bay region and the center of activity not only for the region but also for Florida’s west coast. It has become Florida’s largest office market with 4,000 businesses and nearly 94,000 employees, as well as a vibrant, 24/7 community that boasts more than 250 restaurants, two upscale shopping centers, more than 30 hotels, and growing residential neighborhoods.

Now, Women’s Care Florida (WCF), a major specialty women’s health physician group, is taking steps to better serve the healthcare needs of women of the greater Tampa Bay area with a new three-story, 63,289 square foot sub-specialty center that offers comprehensive services while acting as a hub for other WCF care centers in west and central Florida. The center combines the latest innovation in healthcare with exceptional patient-centered care. Offered services include a vast array of women’s specialty health services, such as maternal-fetal medicine, gynecology, urogynecology, and ambulatory surgical services to its patients in a high-growth area in Tampa. It also features imaging, infusion, a patient education center, a breast center, counseling and supportive care, and a high-risk fetal surgery program.

NexCore Group provided comprehensive real estate services – strategic planning, site selection and acquisition, development, ownership, financing, and property/asset management services –  for the project, which is 100 percent leased by WCF.  The build-to-suit, off-campus women’s health center was developed southeast of the intersection of West Cypress and North Sherrill Streets, strategically located near U.S. Interstate 275 and Florida State Road 589. The facility broke ground in October of 2016 and opened in October of 2017.

What Our Clients Say

"NexCore wanted to build a relationship with us, not just to build a building. They wanted to make sure that we were providing and building the right center for our patients. They cared about that which is different than most developers who are more interested in building a building and then renting it out."
