NexCore Group has hired healthcare expert Steve Christoff as Senior Vice President for Business Development.
Mr. Christoff’s new role is to lead and expand Denver-based NexCore’s nationwide business development activities. Formerly with Minneapolis-based HGA (Hammel, Green and Abramson Inc.), he began his new role Aug. 10 and is based in Denver.
“Steve’s excellence as an accomplished architect and business development professional and his multifaceted experience in the healthcare real estate sector make him a natural choice for this position,” says Todd Varney, NexCore’s Executive Managing Director Development & Acquisitions. “Having Steve on our team enables NexCore to better provide outcome-driven solutions for our physician network, hospital and healthcare system clients nationwide.”
“Steve will enable NexCore to provide the same comprehensive healthcare real estate solutions it always has, but now with even greater expertise in the area of design – including campus master planning, programming, renovations, additions and new construction,” adds Jarrod Daddis, NexCore’s Executive Managing Director Development & Acquisitions. “We are thrilled to have him on board.”
“While working for HGA as a Principal Architect on NexCore Group projects during the past few years, I was impressed by NexCore’s uniquely collaborative and innovative approach to healthcare real estate development,” Mr. Christoff explains. “Rather than simply building projects to typical pro forma NexCore engages all stakeholders up front and strives for innovation. It all starts with understanding their healthcare clients’ business plans and using that knowledge to add value.
“That more strategic approach to development resulted in superior quality, improved efficiency, greater flexibility and reduced costs – and happy clients. And that was the kind of company I wanted to be a part of.”
Mr. Christoff has led complex healthcare projects regionally and nationally in the areas of healthcare design, medical planning, sales, business development, and marketing with firms including HGA, RSP and Nelson. In addition, he is the commander of the 934th Civil Engineering Squadron in the U.S. Air Force and was named Junior Officer of the Year in 2006 and 2007. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Hampton University.
A native of the Denver area, Mr. Christoff and his family have relocated there.
