NexCore Group Hires Greg Hundley as Executive Vice President and General Counsel

NexCore Group has hired Greg Hundley as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. 

In his new role, Mr. Hundley is responsible for all legal matters related to the development, construction, ownership, leasing, management, conversion, financing and acquisition of the company’s healthcare real estate portfolio.

Todd Varney, NexCore’s Managing Principal, noted, “Greg is bringing a wealth of experience in healthcare real estate deal structuring to NexCore and to our clients. He probably has managed more transactions than just about any practicing attorney in the healthcare industry. We see this as a wonderful chance to build our executive leadership team.” 

Mr. Hundley says he sees his new position as a great opportunity. “I’ve crossed paths with NexCore executives many times during the past 10 years and I’ve always been impressed with their creativity and agility. So when this opportunity arose, there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted to join the NexCore team.”

Mr.  Hundley has more than 18 years of experience in commercial real estate and corporate matters, of which 11 years have been focused on healthcare real estate development. He formerly served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel with Lend Lease Healthcare Development LLC in Nashville, Tenn. He is now located in Denver in NexCore’s corporate headquarters and began work Nov. 2. 

Mr. Hundley has extensive expertise negotiating and closing complex, multi-party transactions; financing projects through various governmental and private sector debt and equity sources; overseeing the details of large-scale healthcare real estate projects; drafting/negotiating related transaction documentation and business agreements; managing acquisitions, dispositions and mergers; overseeing commercial mortgage financing; implementing and managing joint ventures and partnerships; overseeing property and infrastructure development; and handling commercial leasing, loan workouts and litigation with respect to transactions totaling approximately $3 billion. 

Mr. Hundley received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University. He is licensed to practice law in New York, Texas, and Florida.
