At an early age, with a nearly insatiable curiosity and penchant for learning, I began collecting inspirational quotes—especially those that offered perspective, education, contemplation, or that simple moment of muse and levity to life’s many experiences and journeys.  A quote from a now classic literary work that has long resonated with me is “a goal without a plan is just a wish”.  I live by that credo today.

Relationships are the currency I have grown to value most in life.  Alongside family, friends, colleagues, and teammates, I have accumulated a trove of experiences and achievements spanning a globe of travel, adventure, exploration, education, and outreach.  

At NexCore, I am responsible for leading the acquisition and investment efforts for NexCore Group, playing a key role in the creation of the company’s strategic initiatives, partnerships, relationships, and transactions. I value the opportunity to meet challenges with equally creative and strategic thinking, through the collaboration, thought, experience and collective leadership of a team.   Having begun my career in Investment Banking followed by extensive work in Private Equity, I have transacted more than $4 billion in investments ranging from mergers, acquisitions, developments, and various capitalizations. I have served on multiple boards, special committees, advised on a broad range of strategic initiatives such as commercial development transactions, joint ventures, merger & acquisitions, complex restructurings, and divestiture transactions, many of which have been recognized in national periodicals such as Wall Street Journal and other industry-specific publications.  My experience is grounded predominantly in special purpose real estate with a focus on alternative asset classes such as energy, healthcare, life sciences, and senior living at both entrepreneurial and enterprise levels—these pursuits have led to consistently profitable ventures and long-term enterprise growth.

Alongside my professional pursuits, I am passionate about the experiences lived with my family and friends.  I can often be found running, cycling, swimming, fly fishing, hiking, reading classics, playing guitar or in search of my next adventure.  I hold dual degrees in Finance and International Business from Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University where I also serve as an adjunct lecturer.
