Denver-based NexCore Group, a national healthcare real estate developer, announced the completion of the new CHI Health Clinic in Millard, a southwestern suburb of Omaha, Neb. The facility opened to patients in June.
The clinic, at 5045 S. 153rd St., was patterned after a prototype NexCore developed: CHI Health Clinic Valley View in nearby Council Bluffs, Iowa. Like its Council Bluffs counterpart and others that have been developed throughout the country, CHI Health Clinic Millard is designed to provide the convenience of a one-stop outpatient experience. The new 38,833-square-foot facility also doubles the size of the previous clinic on the site.
Kathy Bressler, Chief Operating Officer for CHI Health, says “Our mission is to help create healthier communities, and we are proud to be part of the community here in Millard.”
NexCore Group Chief Development Officer and Managing Partner Todd Varney says the firm has enjoyed its collaboration with CHI Health during the past three years.
“Our two organizations proudly share a common goal and strategy that is being well executed across the country,” Mr. Varney says. “Included in that successful strategy is this excellent clinic, which we not only doubled in size, but has greatly improved the way quality healthcare is delivered. This means getting the patient in and out in a safe and comfortable manner and providing the care they need, while allowing caregivers to see more patients in a flexible, high-caliber healthcare environment.”
The CHI Health Clinic Millard provides a variety of healthcare services under one roof, including family practice, women’s care, dermatology and diabetic education.
Along with NexCore, the project team included architect Leo A. Daly (leoadaly.com) and Omaha-based general contractor Darland Construction (darland.com).
